Callaway County Remains Identified

The Boone-Callaway Medical Examiner’s Office has identified remains found on Callaway County Road 311 on February 29 as a 39 year old Fulton man.

According to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, the identification took time due to advanced decomposition of the remains.

The death of Loy Peters is not considered to be the result of foul play.

The Sheriff’s Department said they believed early in the investigation the remains were those of Peters, but needed the confirmation from the medical examiner that was received yesterday. [Monday]
