Nicole Galloway Releases Audit on Missouri Tax Withholding

An audit on individual income tax withholding tables in Missouri is now released by State Auditor Nicole Galloway.

The audit was released yesterday (Tuesday) and it details uncertainty and confusion related to the withholding table calculation in Missouri.

Galloway’s audit says Governor Parson’s administration should take responsibility for misleading Missouri taxpayers.

Governor Parson said his administration was not interested in engaging with someone that prioritizes partisan politics and scare tactics over the long-term benefits of federal and state income tax cuts.

In January, the withholding table calculation was changed to over-withhold, Galloway says this act by the Parson administration failed to follow the appropriate legal process.
