Number Of Buildings Damaged In Tornado Released

The City of Jefferson and Cole County have completed a preliminary assessment of the estimated number of buildings damage as a result of the May 22 tornado.

In a joint release from Cole County and Jefferson City the total number of buildings is 611, of which 466 are in Jefferson City.

These numbers include 516 residential buildings, 82 businesses and 30 government buildings.
