Callaway County Jail Inmate Death Under Investigation

An inmate death is under investigation at the Callaway County Jail.

According to the sheriff’s office, jail staff handled a medical emergency involving 43 year old Michael Rogers on Friday afternoon around 12:18.

Authorities say emergency medical personnel responded and later pronounced the man dead.

Foul play is not suspected, and the Boone-Callaway County Medical Examiner’s Office is helping with the investigation to determine a cause of death.
