Columbia Police Searching For Driver Who Wrecked Vehicle On East Broadway

Columbia Police continue to look for a person who took off on foot after wrecking a vehicle on East Broadway last (Wednesday) night.

According to officers they tried to stop a vehicle that had the license plate obstructed a little after 7 in the area of I-70 and West Boulevard for an equipment violation.

A pursuit then began and ended with the vehicle crashing into a tree in front of the Grant Elementary School, where the driver fled on foot.

The passenger was injured and taken to a local emergency room for treatment.

The driver remains at large and anyone with information is being asked to contact the Columbia Police Department.
