SSM Health And MU Health End Transfer Of Ownership Negotiations

SSM Health, and MU Health Care are mutually agreeing to end exclusive negotiations in a transfer of ownership.

According to a press release from SSM today, after more than a year of diligent, exclusive negotiations, St. Louis based SSM and Columbia Health Care agreed to allow their Letter of Intent to transfer ownership of SSM Health’s ministries in Jefferson City and Mexico, MO to expire, effective January 7, 2020.

Discussion with MU Health Care will continue as SSM Health broadens the scope of its search for a partner that help maintain the availability of care in the communities.

Laura S. Kaiser, CEO of SSM Health says no timeline has been established for identifying a potential partner or reaching an agreement.
