Ashland Police Chief Placed On Administrative Leave

The Ashland Chief of Police is now on administrative leave.

In a press release from the City of Ashland, City Manager Tony St. Romaine announced that at the direction of the Mayor, he placed Police Chief Lyn Woolford on administrative leave effective immediately.

St. Romaine has asked Deputy Chief Terry Toalson to serve as interim chief.

Board of Aldermen action to make that appointment official is expected to take place at their next meeting at 7:00 p.m. February 18th.

No other information was released as it is a personnel issue.
