Columbia Man Arrested After Barricading Himself In Home

A Columbia man is in the Boone County Jail after barricading himself in a home over the weekend.

Columbia Police say they observed 34 year old Montreil Donell Johnson in the area of North Willowbrook Road on Saturday night.

Officers say they were aware there was a probable cause to arrest Johnson for Domestic Assault and when they approached him, Johnson fled into a home.

Police say they tried to get Johnson to voluntarily come out, however he refused to exit.

The SWAT team was called and went into the home where they found the man unconscious and hiding in a clothes dryer.

Johnson was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation.

He was later released and booked at the Boone County Jail.
