Marceline Man Drowns In Private Pond

A Marceline man is dead after drowning in a private pond yesterday afternoon (Monday).

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol 26 year old Jacob Sprague was attempting to cool off and was suffering from heat exhaustion when he went in the pond.

He was face down in the private pond located 2 miles north of Laclede.
