I-70 Crash in Boone County Near Midway

A Tennessee man is recovering from serious injuries after a crash yesterday (Wednesday) that shut down an on-ramp of eastbound I-70 in Boone County near Midway.

According to the Highway Patrol it happened just before 3pm, when a truck slowed and stopped for a traffic backup and was hit from behind by another truck and went off the right side of the interstate and down an embankment.

The crash happened around 2 hours after another involving a semi-truck that closed lanes on each side of I-70 a few miles away in Columbia.
