One Dead After Truck Runs Inside of Sedalia Wendy’s

One person is dead and five others injured following a truck crashing into a Wendy’s restaurant in Sedalia last night (Monday).

According to Sedalia police the crash happened just before 6pm, when a driver of a pickup truck was driving southbound on Limit Avenue and drove off the east side of the road.

The truck apparently hit several trees and a bench before hitting the Wendy’s.

Police say several people were struck before the truck came to a stop several feet inside of the restaurant.

One woman was killed in the crash, a man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A juvenile was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Three other adults were also hurt.

The driver of the truck was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
