Columbia Health Officials Receiving Complaints About New Mask Ordinance

Multiple complaints are being filed in Columbia about individuals or businesses not following the new mask ordinance.

The Columbia/Boone County Health Department says over the weekend they received about 20 complaints.

None of the complaints have turned into a fine, and the city says it hopes to rely on educating people instead of trying to fine people.

Anyone can file a complaint against those not wearing masks in required situations by calling 874-CITY or emailing city@como.gov.
