Boone County Records Another Death Due to COVID-19

Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services is reporting Boone County’s fourth death due to COVID-19.

In a tweet sent out just before noon today (Friday), the agency says the fourth victim was in the over 80 age group.

The agency is also reporting a rise in the positive rate for the novel coronavirus for the week of July 24th to July 30th.

The positive rate for this 7-day period is 7.7% compared to the 7.1% rate reported the previous week.
