Robbery Investigation Underway in Columbia

A robbery investigation is underway in Columbia.

According to police it happened yesterday (Monday) afternoon around 3:45 in the 2400 block of Paris Road.

A female victim reported being physically pushed out of her vehicle by the suspect in a parking lot on Paris Road, sustaining minor injuries.

She said the suspect left the area driving the vehicle.

Officers were able to find the suspect and the vehicle at a residence in the 2400 block of Springdale Drive at approximately 4:50pm.

The suspect was identified as 35 year old Saroeun Mark Sorm, of Columbia.

He was arrested for second degree robbery.

Additional charges may come as the investigation continues.
