KWWR Sports Report 4/13

The Mexico Bulldogs High School Baseball Team shut out the North Callaway Thunderbirds 10-0 last night (Monday) on the road.

Ty Prince was a perfect 3-3 and said see you later to tater with a home run, scored 2 runs and stole a base.

Daeye Miller was 3-4 with 3 doubles, and RBI.

Tristan Playter was 1-3 with 2 RBI and a stolen base.

Jesse Fennewald took command of the hill with 10 strikeouts and allowed just one hit.

The Bulldogs improved to 6-5 and will be back at home tonight (Tuesday) for North Central Missouri Conference game against the Marshall Owls.

Varsity starts 5pm.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost 5-2 to the Washington Nationals at Busch Stadium last night (Monday).

Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado, Yadier Molina and Dylan Carlson – comined to go 1-for-16 with 7 strikeouts.

The Cardinals have lost 3 straight.

The Kansas City Royals lost 10-3 to the Los Angeles Angels.

Royals catcher Salvador Perez went 4-for-4 and recorded a major milestone picking up career hit 1,000.
