Local College Track Star Headed to National Competition

A local track athlete is headed to the NAIA National Championships after competing at the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invitational on Friday afternoon.

William Woods University Freshman Natalie Thomas, took third place in the javelin with a throw of 39.40.

The NAIA Track and Field National Championship will be held Wednesday, May 26th at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex in Gulf Shores Alabama.

Thomas is a 2020 graduate of the Community R6 High School and a Mexico Resident.
