Two Local Highway Patrol Troopers Promoted

Two Missouri State Highway Patrol sergeants in Boone County are getting Lieutenant bars.

Sergeants Scott Ballard and Matt Broniec will be assigned to General Headquarters in Jefferson City with their new positions.

Sgt. Ballard has been in Boone County since November of 2006 and Sgt. Broniec since 2009.

Broniec was initially assigned to Audrain County on June 22, 1995 and then served as a K9 handler.

Ballard will be assigned to the Field Operations Bureau and Broniec will become the assistant director of the Budget and Procurement Division.

Both promotions are effective June 1st.
