Unattended Cooking Apparent Cause of Kitchen Fire On Quantico Road

Unattended cooking is to blame for a small kitchen fire in a house on Quantico Road Saturday night.

According to Mexico Public Safety responding personnel found that a resident had placed a pan on a stove and forgot about it.

Damage was reported to the stovetop and some surrounding cabinetry.

There were no injuries from the incident.
