The Atlanta Braves won Game 1 of the World Series defeating the Houston Astros 6-2.

Braves ace Charlie Morton was forced to exit the game with a fractured right fibula, however Atlanta’s bullpen held strong allowing just 2 runs across the final six innings of the game.

Game 2 of the World Series takes place tonight with a 7:09 first pitch.

A preliminary hearing is now set for Boonville High School football standout and 5-star recruit D.J. Wesolak.

He appeared in Cooper County Court yesterday (Tuesday) for an arraignment.

Wesolak is charged with 4th degree assault and first degree harassment.

According to the probable cause statement and criminal complaint both accuse Wesolak of forcing himself onto a girl at a party in March, 2021.

According to both documents, Wesolak allegedly grabbed the girl by the neck and forced her to kiss him.

The judge and lawyers agreed on a preliminary hearing for December 14th to decide if there is enough evidence for the charge to go to trial.
