Monroe County Hunter Bags Antlered Doe
A Monroe County deer hunter bagged a rare deer on his property recently.
Samuel Perotti had seen a 16-pointer on his game camera and ultimately shot it.
What he thought was a buck turned out to be an antlered doe instead.
Antlered females typically occur when they have unusually high testosterone levels.
An 18-year old hunter in Lafayette County bagged an antlered doe in 2019.
