KWWR Sports Report 1/28/22
The Mexico Bulldogs boys and girls basketball teams will host the Kirksville Tigers at the Mexico High School tonight (Friday).
This will be the third meeting between Mexico and Kirksville this season.
The girls game tips at 6:15 with the boys game to follow.
After the game the Mexico High School 2022 Winter Warming Mr. Bulldog will be announced. The candidates are Haden Frazier, Daeye Miller, Deacon Haag, Isaiah Reams and Ben Clampitt.
The Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team fell 77-62 to Mississippi State on the road last night (Thursday).
The Tigers were behind as many as 19 points and could not overcome the deficit.
Aijha Blackwell picked up her 16th double-double of the season with 17 points and 16 boards.
Hayley Frank finished with 11 points and 4 assists.
The Mizzou women will be on the road again on Sunday when they play Alabama.
The St. Louis Blues beat the Calgary Flames 5-1 last night (Thursday) at the Enterprise Center.
The Blues avenged a 7-1 loss to Calgary from earlier this week.
Ville Husso stayed hot making 28 saves for St. Louis.
Husso has a .965 save percentage in his seven games this month.
