KWWR Sports Report 4/20/22
The Mexico Bulldogs baseball team lost 3-2 to the Hannibal Pirates last night (Tuesday) on the final play of the game.
Austin Maxwell started the game for the Bulldogs and lasted six innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out one.
Sam Ryan, Daeye Miller and Tyler Thoenen each collected one hit to lead Mexico’s offense.
The Bulldogs are 10-4 on the season and return home to play Kirksville tomorrow night (Thursday).
The Mexico High School boys tennis team lost 7-2 to Osage last night (Tuesday).

The Missouri Tigers put up a 6-5 win against in-state rival Missouri State last night (Tuesday) at Taylor Stadium.
Junior Luke Mann went 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI.
Mizzou improved to 22-12 on the season.
Up next the Missouri Tigers hit the road to take on the 22nd ranked LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana starting tomorrow night (Thursday).
The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Miami Marlins 5-1 in Miami last night (Tuesday).

Vladimir Tarasenko had two assists for the Blues and Ville Husso made 32 saves.
St. Louis remains tied for second place in the Central Division with the Minnesota Wild, who defeated the Montreal Canadiens 2-0.
