Fate of Mexico Hospital Now Uncertain
The hospital licensing arm of the Missouri Department of Health & Human Services is denying the extension of the voluntary suspension of the license for Audrain Community Hospital.
Word was received by Representative Kent Haden late this evening (Tuesday) that while the transfer of ownership of the hospital was approved, the license extension was not.
That means that the new owner of the facility would need to pass inspections to current standards before being able to reopen.
