Kingdom City Man Pleads Guilty to Bank Fraud
A Kingdom City business owner is pleading guilty to bank fraud stemming from fraudulently getting CARES Act funding.
39-year-old Scott Allen Maples entered his plea in federal court yesterday (Tuesday) and will be repaying the U.S. Government more than $673,000 gained through deception.
Maples misrepresented the number of employees for three separate companies or overstated revenues to secure PPP loans.
Maples could face up to 30 years in federal prison without parole for the crime.
