Paris Man Injured in Head On Collision in Monroe County
A Paris man is recovering from injuries after a head on collision in Monroe County on Tuesday, August 23, 2023.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol accident report it happened on US Highway 24, three miles west of Paris.
A vehicle driven by 63-year-old Peggy Lehenbauer ran off the road, hit an embankment, returned to the road, overcorrected and struck a vehicle driven by 61-year-old David C. Fitzgerald of Holliday head on.
Fitzgerald was not injured in the accident.
Lehenbauer was taken by Monroe County Ambulance to University Hospital with minor injuries.
