Randolph County Sheriff’s Department Warn of Scam

Citizens in Randolph County are being warned about a scam going on in the area where individuals are calling and claiming to be with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim is told there is an active arrest warrant for them, and to keep from being arrested they must send money or gift cards.

People are being warned this is a scam and law enforcement will not contact you by phone to inform you of an active arrest warrant.

Residents are reminded not to give any personal information.
