Governor Parson Tours State In Support of Gas Tax Increase

Governor Mike Parson will be touring the state starting next week in support of a proposed 10 cent gas tax increase that will appear on the November 6th ballot.

Parson will make his first stop in St. Louis on Tuesday next week.

If the tax is approved by voters the increase would pay for road and bridge repairs and fund the Highway Patrol.

Parson released a statement yesterday (Friday) saying he strongly supports the measure and says the state’s infrastructure needs are long overdue and action must be taken before a tragedy occurs.
