Residents in Jefferson City are being warned of a phone scam with people claiming to be with the municipal court.
According to reports residents have been receiving calls from a person demanding payment on overdue traffic tickets, and on the caller id, the courts phone number shows up.
Officials with the municipal court say that the call is not from the court.
If you should receive a suspicious phone call from the Jefferson City Municipal Court you can report to the court or to the attorney general’s office.
