HOWARD COUNTY CORONER MUST RELEASE TRANSCRIPTS OF INQUEST INTO TEENS SUICIDE

The Howard County Coroner’s office is being ordered to release the transcript of an inquest that determined a teen committed suicide because of bullying and his job.

Howard County Circuit Court Judge Scott Hayes wrote in his judgement this week that the coroner wrongfully denied access to public records that were requested by the Glasgow School District in February.

Harley K. Branhan is being charged with 2nd degree involuntary manslaughter for 17 year old Kenneth Suttners death.

Branham was a manager at the Dairy Queen in Fayette where Suttner worked.

The inquest found her to be the principal reason for Suttners suicide in December last year.

An attorney for the Howard Count Coroners office says they will not follow the order due to plans for an appeal on the ruling.
