A Vandalia Police Officer is being recognized with an award from Mothers Against Drunk Drivers in Central Missouri.
Chief of the Vandalia Police Department Christopher Hammann says the award given to William Varger recently.
The ceremony was held in Jefferson City where the mayor and several other dignitaries were in attendance.
