According to AAA, nearly 50 million Americans will be traveling over Thanksgiving weekend.
A majority of those are predicted to be hitting the road sometime between Wednesday and Sunday.
AAA says if driving to a holiday destination keep your eyes on the road and avoid distractions.
They also recommend leaving when fewer people on the road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol will have troopers stationed approximately every 20 miles along major interstates during peak travel times.
