HAWLEY INVESTIGATES UBER

Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley announced he is launching an investigation into the Uber data breach to ensure the Missouri Consumer Protection and Data Privacy Laws were not violated.

Hawley sent a letter to the Uber CEO demanding the company take immediate action to notify all affected consumers and protect their person information.

According to Hawley’s office, Uber’s failure to secure data as well as the concealment of the data breach may violate Missouri laws.
