A head on collision last (Monday) night has claimed the life of an 84 year old Shelbyville man.
The highway patrol reports it happened just after 5:15 on U.S. 36 Westbound, 5 miles east of Macon.
A vehicle driven by 17 year old Katelynn M. Sizemore was traveling west on U.S. 36 and hit a car driven by Albin J. Covington of Shelbyville head on.
Covington was pronounced dead at the Samaritan Hospital, the other driver was evacuated by air to the University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
