JEFFERSON CITY POLICE ARREST MAN WANTED FOR HOMICIDE IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA

Jefferson City Police have a 22 year old man in custody wanted on outstanding warrant for homicide out of the state of Louisiana.

According to Captain Dough Shoemaker Derik Gomez-Martinez was arrested last night as a result of an investigation into a number of disturbances and shots fired calls near Ventura Avenue in the west end of Jefferson City.

Three other arrests were also made last night in connection with incidents over the past several weeks.

The department says that directed patrol efforts in the area will continue.

Martinez is in the Cole County Jail awaiting extradition.
