One person is hospitalized after a crash on the Highway 54 bypass in Mexico this morning.
Mexico Public Safety reports the accident happened when Jay Thomas, of Louisiana, Missouri, drove his 1993 Dodge off the roadway and struck a support for the Audrain County Road 820 overpass.
Thomas was taken to University Hospital.
There was no apparent structural damage to the overpass, and traffic was unaffected.
