A homicide investigation is underway by Columbia Police after a man was found unconscious and not breathing this (Monday) morning.

According to the department they went to the 1900 block of Lasso Circle, around 3:37 this (Monday) morning.

Officers on the scene say they rendered aid to the man until medical personnel arrived and pronounced the man dead.

The identity of the man is not being released as next of kin has not been notified.
