An autopsy is scheduled today (Tuesday) for a woman who died of a gunshot wound on Saturday night in Phelps County.

According to the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department 34 year old Tanya Johnson experienced a gunshot wound Saturday evening around 6:30, and was initially taken to a hospital in Rolla, and later flown to the University Medical Center in Columbia were she was pronounced dead.

Authorities are still investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to call 573-426-2936.
