Hundreds and thousands of adoptee’s in Missouri will soon be able to have access to their original birth certificate thanks to a new law going into effect.

The Missouri Adoptee Rights Act will take effect on January 2nd.

In October of this year the Department of Health and Senior Services began accepting applications from Missouri- born adoptee’s wishing to request a copy of their original birth certificate.
