A Fulton man is facing multiple charges after an arrest in connection with a hostage situation and robbery at the Best Buy in Columbia.

According to police 28 year old Erik Demetrek Colbert entered the business at 2001 West Worley around 6:30 and held an employee at gun point to steal items from the store, and then held a female customer and her two children at gun point in order to make his escape out the doors and forced them to help carry the stolen items out to a vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Colbert is facing charges of Armed Criminal Action, Robbery, Kidnapping, Stealing, and Assault.
