An Eldon man is indicted by a federal grand jury for enticing a minor to engage in illicit sexual activity over a two year period and for attempting to produce child pornography.

According to court documents 36 year old James Anthony Guthrie the Third was charged in a two count indictment that was returned under seal by a federal grand jury in Jefferson City, yesterday (Thursday).

Guthrie is accused of using the Internet and a cell phone to entice a child victim in North Carolina, between the ages of 12 and 16, to engage in illicit sexual activity from December of 2015, through December last (2017) year.
