INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER RE-FILED AGAINST MOBERLY MAN IN FATAL CAR CRASH

Charges against a Moberly man accused of Involuntary Manslaughter in a fatal crash are being re-filed by Randolph County Prosecutors.

According to court records prosecutors re-filed charges first degree involuntary manslaughter and four counts of first degree child endangerment yesterday (Monday) against 36 year old Danny Bowen.

The fatal crash happened on State Route C near Huntsville on June 10th last year (2017), when 27 year old Nicole Ashbaker was killed after going off the road and overturning.

Bowen, Ashbaker, and four children were in the car at the time.

Prosecutors dropped the charges in 2017 because they were still waiting on evidence from the highway patrol.

According to court documents one of the children interviewed told investigators Bowen and Ashbaker were arguing when the crash happened.

Another said Bowen was hitting Ashbaker and tried to grab the wheel causing the crash.

An arraignment has been set for February 26th at 9 am in a Randolph County Court.
