A shots fired call in the 1500 block of Sylvan Lane in Columbia last (Monday) night is under investigation.

According to reports an armed male suspect tried to break into a house, however the resident was able to keep them outside.

During a scuffle several gun shots went off, however no injuries are being reported, and nothing was stolen.

Police say no arrests have been made at this time, anyone with information about the incident is asked to CrimeStoppers.
