4-H PROGRAM SAVED IN RANDOLPH COUNTY

The Randolph County Commission has decided to reverse a decision and re-fund the University of Missouri Extension Office.

A vote to decrease the extension offices budget from thirty thousand dollars to ten thousand dollars was approved by the County Commission last week.

The move would have ended the local 4-H program, and upset many residents.

In a statement by presiding Randolph County Commissioner John Truesdale it said the extension office funding was lumped in with a budget for another program.

The extension committee reports in the future it will be looking to secure grants for funding.
