A drug testing policy for all is being discussed by the Jefferson City Board of Education.

The policy currently tests students who participate in sports and other activities.

However no policy is in place for the students who are not involved in extracurricular activities.

The board of education is exploring an on the spot drug test for students suspected of being under the influence during the school day.

The issue will be brought up again at a meeting in March.
