A water main break in Moberly overnight (Tuesday) has the entire city under an emergency boil order.
According to a press release from the city the break caused the water towers to drain out and the water pressure to drop below 20 pounds per square inch, which causes a higher chance for contaminants to enter the system.
Moberly Public Schools and St. Pius X have canceled classes today (Wednesday) due to the situation.
Officials are asking people to conserve water as much as possible to keep as much water in the lines as possible.
Crews are currently working to repair the lines.
