The newest high school in Jefferson City now has a name.

At Saturday’s groundbreaking ceremony it was revealed the name will be Capital City High School.

Superintendent of Jefferson City Schools, Dr. Larry Linthacum say the next step will be choosing a school mascot and school colors.

The construction on Capital City High School is expected to begin in the next couple of months.
