One police officer is dead and two others are injured after a shooting in Clinton, Missouri last (Tuesday) night.

According to reports the officers were responding to a call of a man with a gun.

This incident happened seven months to the day when Clinton Police Officer Gary Michael was shot during a traffic stop and later died at a hospital.

Audrain County Sheriff Matt Oller says when you put things in perspective it is quite tragic.

Sheriff Oller says he reminded his deputies of their policy of not going to domestic violence incidents alone this (Wednesday) morning.
