NEW BLOOMFIELD RESIDENTS VOICING CONCERNS OVER POLICE CHIEF RESIGNATION

New Bloomfield citizens are continuing to express their concerns about the resignation of the towns police chief Greg Mooney who resigned recently in lieu of being fired.

The city’s mayor and Board of Alderman held a public meeting last (Thursday) and many residents expressed their frustration about Mooney’s leaving and some budget decisions.

Channel 13, KRCG reports one resident asked “if you think it is important enough to pay a superintendent and a city clerk in this town big city salaries, we need a big city police department”.

Mayor Greg Rehagen said as far as Mooney’s departure, he could not say it’s covered under HR issues Human Resources and cannot discuss that in open session.
