The cause of the fire that destroyed the Friendship Christian Church building in Centralia over the weekend is being ruled as accidental.

Little Dixie Fire Chief Ken Hoover says the fire started up high in the church.

Little Dixie along with the Boone County Fire Department responded to the fire on Saturday afternoon.

The church building was completely destroyed by the fire.
