COLUMBIA POLICE STILL SEARCHING FOR MAN AND VEHICLE IN ATTEMPTED CHILD ABDUCTION
Columbia Police are still searching for a man and vehicle in an attempted child abduction on Tuesday.
According to police it happened in the area of Chapel Hill Road and Handley Place, where a boy was walking home from the Fairview Elementary School shortly before 4:30, and truck stopped and told the boy to get in.
The boy ran away and able to get home safe.
The truck is described as a sandy gold/brown, extended cab with a camper shell and tinted windows.
